The photovotaic array was designed to produce as much energy as the house needs. This house was designed to use electricity for everything - heating, cooling, hot water heating and household appliances, even cooking. This is intentional, because the energy is being produced on the roof. The array should produce approximately 8000 kWh per year, which will match the load making the house net-zero.
